Apple Pie Oatmeal
It certainly doesn’t feel like fall in Florida, however, I’ve been craving a comforting bowl of oatmeal the past week, and these apple pie oats satisfy every single time! I’m sure you have all the ingredients on hand, and takes less than 10 minutes to whip up, which is perfect for those busy mornings!
Apple Pie Oatmeal
Serves 1
Ingredients
1/2 cup sprouted oatmeal
1 Tbs. chia seeds
1 cup water or almond milk
1/2 chopped apple
Cinnamon
Sea salt
1 tsp coconut oil
Optional: maple syrup or honey
Almond or peanut butter
Directions: Add oatmeal and water or almond milk to a saucepan and begin to cook the oatmeal on low heat, stir frequently. Add in chia seeds and sweetener of choice, and continue to cook until water or almond milk is absorbed. Place oatmeal in a bowl. Next, heat coconut oil in a pan, add chopped apples, sea salt, and cinnamon. Cook for 2-3 minutes until apple brown on each side. Top the oatmeal bowl, and add a spoonful of nut butter! My favorite is almond butter!
